The build

Let the turbo breathe, then feed it.

The X3 already has a turbo. The Packard ladder is about letting it breathe — intake, cam, plenum, exhaust — and keeping the belt and clutch alive under the power. When you want more than the factory turbo can give, the big-turbo builds start with a conversation, not a cart.

Breathe

Intake & cam

Cold air intake for the stock turbo ($350), Stage 1 intake cam ($180), billet intake plenum ($995). The order you do them in is the order they're listed.

3" turbo-back exhaust

3" DUAL MUFFLER

Turbo-back, dual muffler, made here. Steel at $1,180, titanium at $1,398. The single biggest change in how a stock-turbo X3 sounds and pulls.

Belt, clutch, plugs

G Boost belts (World's Best and Racing Series), a scatter-shield clutch cover, Brisk plugs, reusable gasket kits. Boost eats belts — plan for it.

What's the first thing to do to a stock X3?
Exhaust, then the cold air intake. Those two wake the factory turbo up without touching the tune. Cam and plenum come next when you want the top end.
Which wheels and tires fit?
4x136. Forged wheels in that pattern, Sand Light and Big Foot tires 32–35 inch. See 4x136 wheels →
